As much of Australia struggles under a sustained heatwave, and fire crews are on standby for potential intense fire activity, we are finding it hard to find the time to produce much content for our website.
The AFCA is a 100% volunteer effort and we have day jobs that keep us busy. All the people currently actively involved in the group are volunteer firefighters. And its turning into a hectic sort of season. So things are a bit quiet here at present.
However, we are posting often on our socials, especially facebook, so please give us a follow. Even better, let us know what you’re up to and how your season is going. We also have an account on Instagram. It’s much easier to keep content going on these accounts, so please check us out there if you’re interested in what we are doing.
We have a few projects ready to go (such as the next FAQ briefer in our series on renewables and fire). Hopefully we can get back to them once this current heatwave passes.
